Dr. Townsend is passionate about preserving the timeless prestige of the traditional barbershop. Our training honors classic barbering — haircutting, razor shaves, hot steam towels, facials, and authentic barbershop culture — while embracing the modern styles and techniques today’s industry demands.

Townsend Barber Institute uses the latest technology to support student success. Our state-of-the-art Roseville facility and transparent systems guide students from day one through graduation and licensure.

If you’ve ever wanted to become a licensed barber or hairstylist, now is the time. TBI is listed on Minnesota’s Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL). Contact your local MN Workforce Center through DEED to see if you qualify for free or reduced tuition funding. FAFSA is also available — School Code #043151.
